Sarah Fabian

Sarah Fabian comes to BVU from Baltimore, Md. She is currently finishing her Ph.D. in Music Education from George Mason University in Virginia. Before that, she graduated from both Towson University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education with a concentration in Percussion, and Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University where she earned her Master’s in Music Education. 

When not conducting private lessons or directing lectures and workshops for students all over the country, Ms. Fabian can be found working with Drum Corps International and/or Winter Guard International. She has an extensive history in the drum and bugle corps circuit. Ms. Fabian currently works with the Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps, a performance group within Drum Corps International. 

Ms. Fabian is a Vic Firth Educator and before starting her Ph.D. studies, she was a Director of Percussion and Assistant High School Band Director in Baltimore, Maryland. Ms. Fabian is a member of the College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA), the International Society for Music Education (ISME), the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) and the Northwest Iowa Bandmasters Association (NWIBA.) 
Now, she’s ready to add her talents to marchers and musicians at BVU as the bands continue to grow across campus.
