Phil Locante began teaching at Buena Vista University in the 2021. Before coming to BVU, Phil spent time in the fields of campus recreation, community recreation, and collegiate athletics. Those experiences came at Fairmont State University in West Virginia, the California University of Pennsylvania, and Peters Township Parks and Recreation, both south of Pittsburgh.
Through advances in the industry, Phil was recognized by his alma mater, California University of Pennsylvania, in the fall of 2020 and named a recipient of the "40 under 40" award. He believes that those experiences and the connections made over ten years of industry-related experience create a unique mesh in the classroom.
