Matthew Packer's research interests include contemporary and postcolonial literature and Rene' Girard's mimetic theory. He has published on a range of American authors including Don DeLillo, John Dos Passos and Teju Cole, and is currently working on a study of transpacific rivalry and mimetic psychology in American and East Asian literature.
