Dr. Macie Stead
- Assistant Professor of Counselor Education
Dr. Macie Stead is a Counselor Educator, Counselor, and Clinical Director. Macie spent over five years counseling individuals who were at risk due to chronic mental health diagnoses. An additional three years focused on counseling for LGBT+ youth as she worked within a school-based setting.
She has a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision and an MS in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. She received her BA in Psychology from Whitworth University. Macie specializes in adult and child PTSD utilizing trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In addition, she specializes in exposure and response prevention for OCD. Professor Stead has presented at both regional and national conferences for ACA and ACES on topics related to supervision, ethics, counseling, and positive psychology.
