Lynn O'Brien

Program director for Master of Science in Education- Professional School Counseling

Master’s in community counseling, Bachelor’s in psychology with a minor in special education from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She will soon receive her Doctorate in Education from MSU, Mankato in counselor education and supervision.

With more than 20 years of experience working in the field of education, Lynn O’Brien holds a professional school counseling license from the state of Minnesota. She is currently working on her Doctorate in Education in counselor education and supervision from Minnesota State University, Mankato. O’Brien’s dissertation is on the development of counselors; it is especially focused on the beginning stages of being a professional counselor. O’Brien is also a member of the Iowa School Counselor Association, the American Counselor Association, and the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision.

O’Brien received her master’s in community counseling, as well as her bachelor’s in psychology with a minor in special education from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She will soon receive her Doctorate in Education from MSU, Mankato in counselor education and supervision.
