A former Speech Language Pathologist, Dr. Barth is an engaged member of the Scientific Studies of Reading (SSR); International Research Academy on Learning Disabilities (IRALD); and is currently completing a R15 Academic Enhancement Research Award from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. Research interests include the identification and treatment of students at-risk for reading difficulties or disabilities as well as method of instruction for English Learners.
