Manage the finances at a prestigious performing arts center. Oversee fundraising efforts for a non-profit organization. Work for a museum and generate hype about a new art collection. As an art management major at BVU, you will deepen your understanding of the arts while also developing fundamental business skills. The program’s targeted interdisciplinary approach will provide you with a broad skill set and the ability to adapt in a variety of roles.
There are three tracks in arts management at BVU—music, theatre and visual arts—allowing you to hone in on your interests and customize your career path. As an arts management student, you’ll work closely with expert professors who will help tailor your studies based on your strengths and career goals. In addition to expanding your knowledge of the arts, you’ll develop analytical, communication, financial and management skills. You will also gain practical experience through real-world applications, a variety of internship opportunities and co-curricular involvement. The program will provide you with strong preparation for a wide range of employment options and is an excellent foundation for graduate school.
Teaching at BVU is endlessly gratifying! With a spirit of 'yes' and a willingness to explore, examine and experiment, the students, faculty and staff keep me excited for each new experience.
