Campus Loses Dear Friend, Faculty Emeritus

Wayne Higley, age 78, of Storm Lake died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010 at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Storm Lake. Friends may call from 3-7 p.m.


Storm Lake to Host RAGBRAI

Faculty Nominated for Wythe Award

The four semi-finalists for this year's George Wythe Award for Teaching Excellence have been chosen, and they are Swasti Bhattacharyya, Melinda Coogan, Mary Mello-Nee, and Chris Todden. The award is BVU's highest faculty honor and is awarded to one BVU faculty member each year to reward their commitment to education.


BVU Grad Recognized for Research

Research conducted by BVU graduate Jon Storm was recently featured in the New York Times. Jon and his colleagues conducted a study about crickets' ability to warn their offspring of wolf spiders before birth.

Lineweaver to Officiate at National Track & Field Championships

Dick Lineweaver SL'62 was selected to be one of the officials at the National Indoor Championship Track and Field at Albuquerque, N.M. on Feb. 27 and 28. Lineweaver is one of two officials from the State of Iowa who will be part of 80 total officials working the meet.
