The students’ presentation is entitled “Becoming a Super Hero in a Civic World.” Their presentation proposes that any “ordinary” college student has the necessary qualities to be the “Superman” or “Wonder Woman” of their own community by leading the way to civic engagement. The interactive presentation applies Social Change Theory to thoroughly examine the necessary attributes of a developing leader. The presenters will also elaborate on the importance of service as a vehicle of leadership.

Dr. Ashley Farmer-Hanson, director of civic engagement, will also make a presentation entitled “Leading an Organization to Make a Big Bang!”
