Buena Vista University

Spanish has more native speakers worldwide than any other language except Mandarin, including nearly 35 million in the United States.  Being able to communicate with it can help your business reach out to growing segments of the population and enable you to better connect with the community around you.

As a Spanish minor, you’ll study the language with a goal of both improving your communication skills and understanding of the cultures of those who speak it through courses on language, history and literature. You’ll also have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the celebrations, traditions, and arts of speakers through connections and service work with Storm Lake’s substantial Spanish-speaking community.
