Harold Walter Siebens School of Business

Other colleges may have “departments,” which offer a couple of majors; however only The Harold Walter Siebens School of Business offers an assortment of eight distinct business majors, taught by a diverse faculty that has real-world knowledge, having worked within each major themselves, have obtained a doctorate, or both.

Need more convincing? In 2007, students in The Siebens School of Business ranked in the 95th percentile in the Major Field aptitude Test (MFAT) (an educational testing service product designed to assess mastery of concepts, principles, and knowledge expected of students at the conclusion of an academic major in specific subject areas). And in no disciplinary area did the Harold Walter Siebens School of Business graduates perform below the nation’s midpoint. This means no matter your skill level when you arrive, you leave prepared and with the confidence and inspiration to go out and pursue your dreams.

We could keep going, but don’t take our word for it. Many recognized employers such as Principal Financial and Wells Fargo actively seek out and recruit BVU students, because they know exactly what they’ll be getting: graduates who know how to get the job done right, right away.

“My experience has been that BV students are not only book smart, but also experienced in the practical application of business. They've mastered the theory and come to the workplace well prepared. It is always a pleasure to have BVU students as interns and co-workers.”
-Julie Mooney, Vice President & Trust Officer, Citizens National Bank, Storm Lake, IA.

If you’re majoring in business, you’re not only engaged in an intensive study of at least one specialty field, but also receive a broad base of instruction in all areas. Couple that with the expert, personal attention you expect from BVU and it equals a school unlike no other.

Now, let’s get down to business.
