Hybrid delivery (combination online and face-to-face) courses convenient for working adults with an on-campus component during the month of June on the Storm Lake (Buena Vista University) or Ottumwa (Indian Hills Community College) campuses.
Students are admitted each June as a cohort and take classes in campus classrooms and in online meetings for optimal access and learning. Graduate program students enroll in one course during the fall semester, one course during the spring semester and two courses each June.
Fall and spring semester courses are delivered using a combination of online instruction and face-to-face meetings (two Saturday campus sessions will be scheduled on the academic calendar at the instructor's discretion).
Two summer sessions are offered on the Storm Lake campus and BVU's Graduate and Professional Studies Location in Ottumwa over two 2-week periods, four days per week from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (eight days per term). During these courses, students experience "hands-on" preparation of materials, integrated computer laboratories, interaction with peers and graduate faculty.
