ESSENTIAL COURSES - DIRECT PATH TO LEADERSHIP

BVU’s applied management major is designed as a direct route from an associate of applied science degree to a bachelor’s degree. The subject matter weaves in only the necessary courses which emphasize strong management strategies to achieve organizational objectives in preparation for a leadership role. Specific topics include:

  • Balancing the ethical perspectives of strategy and structure
  • Experience curve cost reductions
  • Portfolio analysis and management

BASc Applied Management Major Prerequisites

These courses may be taken at the community college prior to or concurrent with enrollment in the BASc program (however, note that financial aid may only be awarded for study at one institution at a time).

  • ENGL 100, Written Communication I, or equivalent
  • ECON 206, Introduction to Macroeconomics, or equivalent 
  • ACCT 205, Financial Accounting, or equivalent

If an equivalent course was taken at the AAS level, it may be replaced with any BVU course as agreed with the advisor.
