Resident Assistant Information

The office of Residence Life employees a variety students in two different leadership positions in the residence halls. Assistant Residence Directors (ARDs) and Resident Assistants (RAs) are trained in a wide variety of areas including but not limited to: roommate issues, conflict resolution, referencing University resources, promoting involvement opportunities, submitting work orders and educating and enforcing University policies. ARDs and RAs are also effective in solving problems and are good listeners when you just need someone to talk to. ARDs are experienced RAs who have been promoted to take on a more administrative role in the residence halls. RAs on the other hand, can be student leaders serving in their first year.
