When do I need to consult with Information Services about adding new hardware or software to our curriculum/daily operations?
Information Services should be consulted whenever a department is considering adding new hardware or software. The best approach would be to fill out a Project Request form for review/evaluation.
What are the steps needed to be taken to create a project?
The first step is to complete a Project Request Form. The Project Request Form is located here. Additionally, you can contact Chappell Tommasi, IS Project Specialist.
What is the difference between a ticket and a project?
A ticket is more for a maintenance type issue. A project by definition is temporary in nature with a definite start and end date. A project creates a unique product, service, or result, and it typically lasts longer than two weeks.
Why do we need to fill out standard documents?
Documentation helps to establish the requirements, outline a time line, and create references for future projects.
