Personalizing Your Voice Mail Box

Setting up and Listening to Voice Mail

Please personalize your voice mail box using the appropriate set of instructions below:

If you are calling from your own campus extension

1. Dial 1400 to access the system
2. Enter 9+ your extension/mailbox number (as your temporary passcode) followed by #.
3. The system has a tutorial to assist you in setting up your voice mailbox initially. Please listen carefully to the prompts for directions and hang up when finished.

If you are calling from someone else's campus extension

1. Dial 1400 to access the system.
2. Do one of the following:
   • If the extension does not have an associated mailbox, press #.
   • If the extension has an associated mailbox, press * then #.
3. Enter your extension/mailbox number.
4. Enter your 9+ extension/mailbox number again (as your temporary passcode) followed by #.
5. The system has a tutorial to assist you in setting up your voice mailbox initially. Please listen carefully to the prompts for directions and hang up when finished.

If you are not calling from a campus extension

1. Call the main voice mail system number (712)-749-1400.
2. Press #.
3. Enter your extension/mailbox number
4. Enter your 9+ extension/mailbox number again (as your temporary passcode) followed by #.
5. The system has a tutorial to assist you in setting up your voice mailbox initially. Please listen carefully to the prompts for directions and hang up when finished.

Your options while listening to a message include:

Press 3 to Skip ahead a few seconds

Press 33 to Skip to the end of the current message

Press 4 to Replay the message

Press 6 to Forward the message to another user

Press 7 to Erase the message

Press 8 to Reply to the message

Press 9 to Save the message

Press * to move up to the previous menu, twice to logout
