Electrician

Buena Vista University is seeking an Electrician. This individual will perform a wide variety of functions such as installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for the generation and distribution of electrical energy across campus. Responsibilities include working from schematics, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system; utilization of tools, testing and diagnostic equipment, and simple machine tools; and maintenance of tools and machinery.

 This position requires a professional level of knowledge in a specialized field which is equivalent to that which would be required by completing a four year college program or technical school.  Other requirements include a valid Driver’s License, a state electrical License, and five years of experience in the field of general repairs.
