Assistant Professor of Mathematics
Buena Vista University, a private, nationally recognized Midwestern baccalaureate institution located on the shores of a 3,200 acre natural lake, invites applications for a tenure track position in mathematics at the assistant professor level, with duties to begin in August, 2014. Applicants must be committed to excellence in teaching undergraduate mathematics at all levels, and be prepared to embrace the broad range of duties associated with the faculty role on a small, primarily residential campus. Expertise and interest in traditional areas of mathematics such as algebra, number theory or analysis preferred. Minimum of ABD in mathematics expected, Ph.D. required for tenure consideration.

Buena Vista University has an enrollment of about 1000 full-time residential students. The city of Storm Lake has a population of approximately 11,000 and is one of the most ethnically diverse communities in Iowa.
