Ahoy! T'6th annual Beavers' Annual Great Boat Float Challenge be upon us! Use this entry form t' sign up your team, ye scurvy dogs! But be quick! Registration ends at midnight on the Wednesday before the race!

Every year intrepid sailors gather near the Recreation House to test their skills in a battle of cardboard and creativity. Join us and test your luck on the stormy lake waters. For those in need of supplies, there will be cardboard boxes and rolls in the Recreation House.

Event Schedule

4:45 p.m.

Teams begin to bring their ships to check-in with the registration team. The boats are put on display during this time for visitors to gaze upon in awe, and gather photos in case of an unfortunate storm, or siren attack.

5 p.m.

Society of Collegiate Journalists Pie in the face Fundraiser They will be collecting money the week of April 22nd-25th and the faculty/staff member who raises the most money will get a pie in the face right before the boat races begin. The three candidates are Ken Meissner, Carol Williams, and Neil McNabb.

5:15 p.m.

The rules of the races will be briefly reviewed, as well as the course for the race.
Food and Drink will be served as the races begin.

6 p.m.

With the races over, and the judges’ decisions made, the awards ceremony begins.  The winners of each category are announced and given their award.

6:15 p.m.

The OAC will announce the new executive board for 2014-2015 and will recognize members that have participated in OAC events.
