Aside from athletics, he was also a two-time Academic All-State selection.
College Highlights: Made his collegiate debut as a freshman when he took part in the Brute-Adidas Open. Finished the season with 10 matches – all at 133 pounds. Picked up his first collegiate win as a sophomore at the Simpson Invite and picked up his first collegiate pin during the BVU Open, while also wrestling the year at 133.
