
The Buena Vista wrestling team was back in Iowa Conference action Tuesday at Simpson College, and it was the Storm winning six of the first seven matches en route to a 27-12 victory.
BVU went up 6-0 when junior Austin Mogg picked up a forfeit at 125 pounds before Simpson tied it at 6-6 and took a 11-6 lead with a technical fall at 141. The Beavers then lost decisions in three of the next four bouts before junior Brian Broll improved to 29-3 on the year with a 4-0 decision at 184 pounds.
The Storm then grabbed a 27-9 advantage after a 9-5 win at 197 pounds before sophomore Matt Sefcik picked up his 15th win of the year with a 5-0 victory in the final match of the night.
Buena Vista is now 3-6 overall (0-4 IIAC) and will wrap up its Iowa Conference schedule on Saturday after it takes part in the IIAC Duals in Pella, Iowa, hosted by Central College.
