Hammer Ties for Ninth at Mt. Mercy Spring Invite

Buena Vista senior Kylie Hammer carded a final round 85 on Sunday afternoon and finished tied for ninth overall during the Mt. Mercy College Spring Invite, held out on the Hunters Ridge Golf Course.

Hammer, who posted an opening-round 86 on Saturday, finished the event only one stroke out of eighth and three back of sixth.

Kylie Woodley, who bettered Hammer by one stroke on Saturday, finished with a final round 93 on Sunday and tied for 21^st.  Lauren Doherty tied for 38^th for BVU, while Arinda Abuhl and Jasey Zander round out the finishes for the Beavers.

As a team, BVU finished ninth overall (731), as Grand View University took the team title with an overall mark of 666.

The Beavers will continue its spring schedule on Tuesday afternoon when it travels to Iowa Central CC in Fort Dodge.  Tee-time is scheduled for 1:00pm.
