


About Susan: Born 1/7/92...is the daughter of Russell and Donna Kies.
High School Highlights: Was a four-year letterwinner in basketball for the Mustangs and was a four-time all-conference selection. She also earned all-state accolades twice and was named to the State Tournament All-Tournament team twice. Was named Class 1A Player of the Year as a senior.
In addition to basketball, she was a four-time letterwinner in volleybabll, two-time in golf, and five-time in softball. On the diamond, she was a four-time all-conference selection, two-time all-state, played on a state championship and two state runner-up teams, was named to the State Tournament All-Tournament Team as a senior, and was named Class 1A Player of the Year as a junior and senior.
Aside from athletics, she graduated as Valedictorian of her senior class and received the school's annual Bernie Saggau Award.
College Highlights: Susan is a two-time letterwinner for the Beavers. She came off the bench and appeared in all 26 games as a point guard for the team as a freshman in 2010-11. That year, she finished sixth on the team in scoring, was second in assists and tied for second in three-point field goals. She turned in a season-best 15 points, including three long-range buckets versus Simpson on January 17. Just more than a week earlier, she dished out seven assists off the bench against Luther College on January 8. Last season as a sophomore, she became the team’s starting point guard and was third on the team in scoring and second in assists, steals and three-point field goals. She scored a career-best 20 points, while matching her career high with four three-pointers at Simpson College on February 8. She finished the year ranked fifth in the league, averaging 1.80 three-pointers per game.
