Buena Vista interim director of athletics Brian Van Haaften has announced that Heather Noll is leaving her position as BVU head volleyball coach to take the head coaching position at Lake Forest College (Ill.).

“My time at BVU has been great,” says Noll.  “From the staff, to the athletes, to the fans, everyone has all been so amazing!  On the volleyball side of the things, I am honored to have coached some of the hardest working athletes both in the classroom and on the court.  They all have such a bright future.”

Noll guided the Beaver volleyball team the last four years, finishing with an overall record of 29-95 (3-29 IIAC).  During that time, she coached three all-conference players and 22 academic all-conference student-athletes.

“We want to thank Heather for her dedication to BVU and wish her all the best in the future,” says Van Haaften.

Noll adds that it will not be easy to leave behind such a wonderful group of colleagues.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better staff to work with,” she says.  “Everyone supports each other to the fullest!  I will always remember my time at BVU and everyone that I have had the pleasure to meet.”

Noll will be leaving campus to begin her new position sometime in January.

Van Haaften says that a search for a replacement will begin immediately.
