Buena Vista senior outside hitter Lacie Drennan added to the list of accomplishments this season by being named a Second Team All-Iowa Conference performer as announced by the league office on Friday. She becomes the programs first all-conference selection since Katie Vondrak earned such honors back in 2008.
Drennan, who finished with the second-most kills ever in a single-season for BVU (447), garnered all-conference accolades for the first time in her career after being tabbed as an Honorable Mention selection in 2010.
Her 3.45 kills per set during conference matches ranked fifth among the IIAC leaders.
Defensively, she capped off her final campaign with a career-best 377 total digs, to go along with 56 total blocks.
Cornell College’s Kathleen O’Connor was named the IIAC MVP, while fellow teammate Taylor Dicus was tabbed as the Freshman of the Year. Coe College head coach DeAnn Woodin landed Coach of the Year honors.
