



The Buena Vista volleyball team was back out on the court on Tuesday night for a non-conference road match against Bethany Lutheran, but it was the Vikings picking up the 3-0 victory (25-13, 29-27, 25-16).
Sophomore Kirsten Van Zuiden (Carroll, Iowa/Carroll) led all players with 12 kills on 42 attempts, to go along with 12 digs. Juniors Chelsea Clayton (Early, Iowa/Schaller-Crestland) and Jena Peters (Lake Park, Iowa/Harris-Lake Park) each followed with seven and six kills, respectively.
As a team, the Beavers posted a match-high 15 kills in the thrilling second-set, but combined for only 15 in the other two.
Sophomore Courtney Van Haaften (Alta, Iowa/Alta) dished out a match-high 26 assists, while sophomore Jessica Stocker tallied 17 digs.
Buena Vista is now 1-4 overall and will travel to the Hamline University Tournament on September 7 and 8. BVU opens on Friday afternoon against UW-La Crosse at 4:00pm.
