Softball Team to Hold Clinics
BVU head softball coach Heather Hupke and her staff will be conducting pitching and fundamental softball clinics for those in grades 3-12. Dates for the clinics are scheduled for Sunday, February 28th, Saturday, March 13, and Sunday, March 14 . Iowa Conference to Host Student-Athlete Leadership Conference

A group of Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference student-athletes and administrators will gather beginning Friday, February 5, in Cedar Rapids for the Conference's first Student-Athlete Leadership Conference. About 65 male and female student-athletes plus an administrator from each of the Iowa Conference's nine schools will take part in discussions on leadership, diversity, sportsmanship and the integration of the athletic/academic experience in the three-day conference at the Cedar Rapids Marriott. Softball Team Listed Among the NFCA All-Academic Teams

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) has released its girls got game All-Academic softball teams, and Buena Vista was 46th among the Division III teams who were recognized. The teams qualify based on GPAs submitted for the 2008-09 school year. READ MORE
Hall of Fame Class of 2009 Announced

Buena Vista University has announced its Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2009. The Class includes Floyd Athay '81, Brett Christensen '94, Steph Gronau '98, and retired head wrestling coach Al Baxter. The inductees will be honored at halftime of the BVU football game versus Peru State on September 12 and will also be recognized at a banquet in Dows Conference Center that evening. READ MORE
Softball Chalks up Sweep in Season Finale

The Buena Vista softball team closed out its season on Saturday afternoon against the University of Dubuque, but not before recording a doubleheader sweep of the Spartans by scores of 1-0 (11 inn.) and 10-7. READ MORE
