The Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) announced its 2011 Men’s Soccer All-IIAC selections on Thursday afternoon with Buena Vista senior Eric Karita landing Honorable Mention recognition.

Karita led the team and posted a career-high with five goals scored this season, including game-winners over both Cornell College and Coe College, respectively.  He also finished the year with three assists, including two during conference play.

Buena Vista finished its campaign at 6-11 overall (2-6 IIAC).  It fell just one conference win shy of making its first conference tournament berth since 2006.

Luther College’s Steve O’Meara was named the 2011 IIAC MVP, while Norse head coach Chris Garcia-Prats was voted as 2011 IIAC Coach of the Year.
