Thank you for taking an interest in Buena Vista University and our football program. Buena Vista has a long history of excellence on the football field and in the classroom with six conference championships and 41 All-Americans. Administration, staff, and faculty at Buena Vista are committed to assisting student-athletes in their pursuit of excellence. Our outstanding academic programs combined with tremendous athletics develop character, discipline, team work and long-lasting relationships.

It is our goal to completely prepare student-athletes for success on the field and for life after football. We have high expectations of our student-athletes to graduate and compete at the highest level on the football field. The football program values competitive athletic and academic experiences that foster hard work, a sense of responsibility, leadership, effective communication skills, and appreciation for life-long learning.

Our program is committed to championship caliber football and enhancing the traditions of Buena Vista University athletics.   • Named 2008 IIAC Coach of the Year
  • Served as the team's offensive coordinator from 2000-05
  • Worked as a graduate assistant from 1997-1999
  • Coached nine all-conference offensive athletes as offensive coordinator
  • Earned two letters while playing collegiate football at Drake University
  • Received undergraduate degree at Drake and graduate degree at BVU
