High School Highlights: He lettered in cross country, track, wrestling, and bowling in high school. He was team captain and All-Conference in cross country. Tyler was also a Silver Cord member.
College Highlights: Tyler took part in four events as a freshman last season and reached the finish line with his season-best time of 29:58 during the Iowa Collegiate Championships, hosted by Iowa State University.
