About Tyler: Born 3/26/91...is the son of Dean and Cindy...has one sister, Sarah.
High School Highlights: Was a four-year letterwinner in baseball for the Cyclones and a three-time letterwinner in football. During his career on the diamond, he was an all-conference selection, as well as earning all-district and all-state accolades.
College Highlights: Tyler did make six relief appearances as a freshman in 2010, pitching a season-high three innings, allowing two runs on two hits, while also striking out two. As a sophomore, he was big out of the bullpen, pitching 34.1 innings, including three in his season debut at Westminster College on March 5, striking out six and picking up his first career save. He picked up his first win when he struck out three over two perfect innings against Bethany Lutheran. He made his first career start at Central College in game two of a doubleheader and struck out a career-high nine over four innings. He came on in relief against Keystone College during the College World Series and picked up his second save of the year after striking out three and allowing just two hits over two innings of the Beavers’ 8-5 win. Last season, he saw limited action due to injury, appearing in only seven games, but did strike out four over two innings against North Central to pick up the win.
