About Jesse: Born 11/27/92...is the son of Gene and Sue...has two brothers, Jayme and Jake.
High School Highlights: He was a three-year letterwinner in baseball where he earned all-conference recognition as a sophomore, junior and senior. In addition, he lettered three times in football and was a team captain his senior year. Aside from athletics, he was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated with over a 4.0 GPA.
College Highlights: Jesse started 36 as a freshman in 2012 and was one of six players to finish the year hitting above .300. His first career hit was a double and came in his first career game – the team’s season-opener against St. John’s University (Minn.). He belted his first career home run in the series opener at Nebraska Wesleyan on March 17, while driving in a career best four runs. Playing primarily in right field, he committed only one error defensively in more than 45 total chances. In addition to his position play, Jesse also saw action on the mound, appearing in four games, including his first career start at Central College. He allowed just one hit and struck out two in 2.1 innings. In his first career outing against North Central, he pitched a season-high three innings, allowing two hits and striking out three. Following the season, Jesse was voted by his teammates as the Newcomer of the Year.
