College Highlights: Alex played primarily with the junior varsity team throughout his freshman campaign in 2012, but have some key moments as a part of the varsity squad. He did see action in 14 games, including four starts, making his debut in game two of the team’s season-opening doubleheader against St. John’s University inside of the H.H.H. Metrodome. He got his first career start at Washington University on March 4, when he went 1-for-3 at the plate with a double and an RBI. He turned in season-high two hits and scored two runs in game two of a doubleheader at Luther College on April 6.
