The Buena Vista volleyball team was back out on the court Tuesday night, playing an Iowa Conference match at Loras College, and it was the Duhawks jumping out the quick start and handing the Beavers a three-set loss (25-14, 25-14, 26-24).
Junior Chelsea Clayton helped lead the Beavers offensively with a match-high 11 kills, moving her within 13 of the 200 mark for the year. Sophomore Kirsten Van Zuiden, who went past 200 her last time out, followed with six tonight and has 207 on the year.
Sophomore Courtney Van Haaften dished out 23 assists and also had two more ace serves.
Defensively, Van Zuiden and Jessica Stocker tallied nine digs each with Bailey Schafbuch right behind at eight.
Buena Vista is now 4-19 overall (0-6 IIAC) and will now step out of league play on Friday night for a road match at Dordt College beginning at 7:30pm. It will then take part in the Waldorf College Invite on Saturday in Forest City, Iowa.
