BVU Dance Team

The Buena Vista Dance Team performs during halftime of home BVU basketball games.  In addition, the team can also be seen representing BVU in various area parades throughout the summer months.

Dance Team Earns Division 1 Rating at State Competition

The BVU Dance Team competed in its first State College Competition on Friday, November 30th, 2012 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa.  Twenty-five Iowa college dance teams competed in the competition.  BVU earned a Division 1 rating for their routine to, Gimme Some Lovin'.  Six of the eight dancers who competed were: Sophia Haselhoff, Rebecca Vierkandt, Kelsey Kanklefitz, Lourdes Arreola, Lesa Turnquist, and Gwendolyn Walton.  The team did an awesome job representing BVU! - Coach Wabeke
