Two BVU alumni have been honored by the American Advertising Federation of Des Moines. Adam Feller SL'11 was named "Ad Pro of the Year" and Kelsey (Reitmeier) Feller SL'12 was awarded "Rookie of the Year."

During an appearance on WPIX-TV in New York City, Slam magazine's Leigh Klein was quizzed on his knowledge of college mascots. He knew the mascot of every college in the quiz, including a certain beloved Beaver.

Three BVU alumni have received the Emmetsburg Chamber of Commerce's "5 Under 40" Award. They were recognized for their work for Emmetsburg's RAGBRAI Committee in 2014.

Four BVU alumni are involved in the production of "The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood" at the Des Moines Community Playhouse. In the play, the Merry Men are armed with spoons and battle a Sheriff of Nottingham who would rather be bowling.

Four professors have been selected as finalists for BVU's 2015 George Wythe Award for Excellence in Teaching. The winner will be announced at the Faculty and Staff Recognition Dinner on May 22.

The Buena Vista men's basketball team shot better than 50 percent from the field en route to a commanding 94-80 road victory over the University of Dubuque. The win secured the program's 12th overall Iowa Conference title and the ninth under head coach Brian Van Haaften.

Students in "Introduction to Pharmacology" are learning about basic pathophysiology and discussing how medications treat a variety of diseases. The experience also involves studying the effects of pharmacological agents on cell viability and function.
