"My goal is to continue to find students that will benefit and grow from the experiential education that BVU provides," says Mike Fox, director of admissions at BVU.
The Pennsylvania native's admissions interest was sparked while attending Wilkes University where he worked in the admissions office as a tour guide. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in communications in 2006, Mike held several other positions including chairman of the university staff advisory committee and director of enrollment projects.
When Mike moved to Storm Lake in February 2015, he found BVU to be an inclusive and supportive community. "The faculty and staff here are student focused and dedicated to helping students realize their goals and achieve them." Mike believes that what sets BVU apart from other schools is the unique opportunity it provides students to blend their interests into a curriculum that shapes them intellectually, professionally, and personally.
Mike has many interests of his own, including outdoor hobbies such as snowboarding and mountain biking. "I've competed in athletics all of my life, but I also enjoy participating in community service, watching BVU theater productions, and attending sporting events." When he isn't on campus, Mike and his wife Pamela spend much of their free time with their dog Boulder.
