Welcome to Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa. Located in Northwest Iowa within convenient driving distance of several metropolitan cities, Storm Lake is a vibrant community that is home to more than 10,000 people. A 3,200-acre natural lake adjacent to the BVU campus is the centerpiece of the community, and provides a scenic setting and an abundance of recreational opportunities.
BVU has a proud history and commitment to educating international students. Students from around the globe have found a home away from home on our campus. Nearly 50 international students from nine countries – including Brazil, Ghana, India, Rwanda and Japan – were enrolled at the university for the 2012-2013 academic year. International students thrive at BVU.
There are also a variety of scholarships (funds that do not have to be repaid and are awarded to students who meet specific criteria and financial aid opportunities available to qualified international students working toward their college degree.
