Iowa Scottish Rite Masonic Educational Fund

This is a LOAN program available to Iowa residents and may be extended to out-of-state students attending an Iowa college/university. Applicants must show financial need and have completed at least one year of college. A transcript must be submitted to show evidence of further academic success (sophomores must have a 2.75 CGPA and juniors, seniors and graduate students must have a 2.5 CGPA. Three character references need to be submitted as well. Student may borrow up to $2000/year up to an aggregate total of $6,000. Principal payments need not be made until the loan recipient's education is completed or discontinued. Current interest rate is 6% per year and payments should be made in semi-annual installments. LifeServe Scholarship

LifeServe will award a $500 scholarship to students who organize a successful blood drive during specified dates in the summer months (Memorial Day - Labor Day) or the winter months (December - January).  To be eligible to win, students must recruit donors and act as the chairperson for the blood drive and meet a minimum of 40 registered donors at their blood drive.  Visit for a complete list of guidelines and additional details. 

Piper Scholarship sponsored by the Marshall Count Izaak Walton League of America - $2000

The Marshall County Izaak Walton League of America Offers a scholarship each year to one Marshall County resident who is studying toward a college degree in a conservation-related field.   The Piper Scholarship Endowment is a $2,000 scholarship that can be used at any accredited school.  The applicant must be from Marshall County but may be attending any U.S. school. 

This scholarship is available to students studying for a degree in Biology, Ecology, Conservation or a related field.  High School graduates who are starting college in 2018 are also eligible.  Please contact Pam Strobbe (641) 752-4175 for an application e-mail   Applications must be received by March 15th.

SFM Foundation Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to students whose parents were killed or seriously injured in workplace accidents while working for Minnesota, Iowa or Wisconsin employers.  The application is found at and the deadline is March 31, 2018.  The amount is up to $10,000 for up to five years. 

Quota International of Sioux City

This Education Grant of $500 is available to students in the post secondary education field who are deaf or hearing impaired and also to students who are going into a field of study that will benefit and assist those who are deaf or hearing impaired.  The application is available at the Financial Assistance Office and the deadline is March 16, 2018.
