The Iowa Hospital Association (IHA) is proud to continue the Health Care Careers Scholarship program for the ninth year. Available through the Iowa Hospital Education and Research Foundation (IHERF), an IHA subsidiary, these scholarships of up to $6,000 ($3,000 per year for a maximum of two years) each have supported higher education for 296 Iowa college students.

The ultimate goal of this program is to fill Iowa health care positions that currently have a notable number of openings by offering significant financial support to students seeking health care education or training. In exchange for that financial support, each award recipient must commit to working one year in an Iowa hospital for each year of scholarship award.

Placement opportunities will be identified for each IHA geographic district (a map is included with the application). Scholarship applications will be scored and awards made based on each applicant’s qualifications. All portions of the application form must be submitted by March 30, 2015

IHA would appreciate your support and promotion of this scholarship. You may know of someone in your local community interested in a health care career, a hospital employee looking for advancement, a current student enrolled in a qualified health care program or a family member or friend of an employee interested in a health care career. Please share the enclosed information and encourage them to apply.

To assist with promotion, click here to access a printable 8.5 x 11 poster with a quick reference (QR) code so interested students can use their cell phones to connect to the scholarship website for more information.

All applications will be submitted online at the IHERF scholarship website (www.iowahospitalscholarships.org), which will help students confirm their eligibility before beginning the application process. This will allow for electronic submission of their application, college program verification and references.

Thank you for promoting the IHERF Healthcare Careers Scholarship in your area. Once again, the scholarship application deadline is March 30, 2015 and recipients will be announced after May 1.

Accounting Software Scholarship

Today, with online banking, debit cards, and Paypal payments, managing your personal finances may seem easier. But with no actual cash changing hands, tracking your account balances becomes increasingly important. If you were teaching a course on managing personal finances, using your own experiences as an example, how would you instruct your students to take charge and manage their finances effectively?

TicketCity Annual College Scholarship Program

TicketCity loves college sports. From the first tailgate party of football season to the final round of March Madness, we can't get enough of it. Focus is almost always on the student-athletes, but we know it wouldn't be the same without the support of the student-fans. Every school has its own unique traditions and we want to hear why those traditions are so special to you.

This is why we created the TicketCity Annual College Scholarship Program. We want to thank the students for turning an ordinary game into a tradition-rich, high-energy event that will be remembered forever. All you have to do is write an essay about something you already love, the college sports experience and earn $3,000 to help pay for school. Choose from one of the 3 essay subject options below and write a 500 – 800 word essay. The essay doesn't have to be too formal – we want to hear your voice! Write something funny, something sentimental, talk about your game day traditions or whatever feels right to you. You'll need to include a picture or video that supplements your essay. Be creative! We want your essays, pictures and videos to reflect the excitement you feel from the event you write about. All pictures and videos need to be appropriate, so please keep the content family-friendly.

Essay Subject Options

  • Describe why sporting events are important to the culture of a university.
  • What college sporting event has had a major impact on your life and why?
  • What is your favorite game-day tradition at your University and why?

Once all essays are received, our panel of sports fans at TicketCity will review them to determine our winner. We'll select one entrant to receive $3,000 to go toward any academic needs he or she may have. We'll also feature the winner's essay and picture or video on our site. The scholarship essay submission deadline is December 1, 2014.If you have any questions or problems with the application below, you may contact scholarship@ticketcity.com for help.TicketCity Annual College Scholarship Program - Rules & GuidelinesCenturylinkdealsStudents are asked to create an original essay exploring the myriad ways in which technology impacts higher education.
