- Graphic Design & Visual Communication Major

To be a successful visual designer, talent and passion are musts, but they aren’t all you’ll need. Professional designers have to know how to communicate with clients, where to look for inspiration, and how to get into the minds of both their clients and their clients’ audiences. They need to understand aesthetics, industry, and how their creations fit into the surrounding culture.
As a graphic design & visual communication major, you’ll develop skills in the subtleties of communicating ideas visually. You’ll take concentrated courses in production and receive a broad education in art, corporate communication and media studies as you explore your own abilities and learn how to apply them to your future career. You'll advance your skills in visual communication as you discover how art and aesthetics fit into the professional world of today.
