Special Education - Comprehensive

Graduate Teacher Endorsement
Classes start every 8 weeks.
online

Combining science, theory, and hands-on field and classroom experience while building a professional network. Our teacher mentors have the real-life experience necessary to provide the knowledge required in Iowa classrooms today. This is a high demand field, and there continues to be a special educator shortage across the country.

Program Description:

BVU offers all four endorsements within the special education undergraduate major, or as independent endorsements:

  • Strategist I- Mild to moderate disabilities K-8
  • Strategist II: Cognitive or behavior/learning tracks

Endorsements are also available as part of a unique plus 1 master’s degree, where students have the option of completing their bachelor’s degree in a teaching endorsement area, plus their master’s in special education in one additional year. BVU is a leader both in the number of education students who complete programs each year and in the success of our alumni.
