Program Philosophy
The mission of the Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) at Buena Vista University is to provide a comprehensive and proactive academic and clinical education for students seeking a career in athletic training.

The Athletic Training Education Program at BVU is a Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) accredited undergraduate program. The program undertakes the responsibility of offering the student a sound, multi-disciplinary foundation that encourages the student to reflect on material critically, write effectively, express ideas fluently and conduct themselves professionally. Buena Vista University is dedicated to offering the student enrolled in the Athletic Training Education Program academic curricula and clinical experiences that will aid each student in preparation for the BOC (Board of Certification) certification examination and achieve entry level employment as a Certified Athletic Trainer in the setting of their choice.

For more information on the athletic training program, email the ATEP Director.
