Areas of Study

The BVU curriculum is designed to present an integrated, intellectual experience that challenges students and gives them the tools they need for a successful career and a lifetime of learning. Undergraduate students can select from 34 majors, 33 minors, and 15 pre-professional programs.

Requirements for Graduation

To earn a bachelor's degree, students must have a minimum of 128 credit hours with at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average. In addition to completing a major, students must complete the General Education requirements, which include Intellectual Foundations, Intellectual Explorations, First-Year Seminar, ACES, Designated Writing Courses, and First-Year Interim.

The Academic Catalog contains the official policies for academic honesty, adding or dropping courses, grading systems, academic standing, independent or directed study, disabilities accommodations, the honors program, and more.
