I will be developing an ordinary least squares regression analysis model to predict the length of stay in a residential, long-term care facility. The model will test the relationship between different variables and the length of stay for residents of the facility. The model will be evaluated for its predicative usefulness, through testing for common econometric problems. Variables that may be included in the model are age of resident, season in which the resident enters the facility, and whether or not there is assisted or independent care available. As the analysis progresses there are is possibility of change in the variables included in the model.
