Student MOVE (Mobilizing Outreach and Volunteer Efforts), which coordinates student volunteer activities at Buena Vista University, recently presented a check for $425 to The Bridge, a local Christian outreach organization, with donations from two fundraising activities. One was the campus “A Day without Shoes” event held in April and the other was a project by Nathaniel Matya, assistant director of admissions at BVU, who ran in the BolderBoulder 10K run in Boulder, Colorado on Memorial Day dressed as the BVU mascot, Buford.

From left are Anne and Jay Dahlhauser, who operate The Bridge, and their daughter, Gracelin; Kevin Coriolan, a Student MOVE officer; and Nathanial Matya. The funds will be used to buy shoes for needy children in the community.
