Scholarly ACES Event: The Down Low on Hooking Up: Research on Casual Sexual Encounters

Dr. Marie-Joelle Estrada (Ph.D. in Psychology and sex expert) will discuss the antecedents, actual events, and end results of “hooking up” by college students today, according to research studies. Dr. Estrada will cover whether there are differences in how men and women view hooking up, including differences in how they act during the encounter and in how they view the consequences afterward. You may have heard stereotypes about how men and women view casual sex; Dr. Estrada will explain actual research results on whether these stereotypes are true.
