The Global Woman seminar, run by Jennifer McNabb, invites you to come to the screening of the newly released documentary, Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide. The film, based upon the book by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn, “introduces women and girls who are living under some of the most difficult circumstances imaginable,” and will present the topics of gender-based problems, sex trafficking, and education issues for women in third world countries. Please join us in Forum room 1 on Monday November 12 at 7:00 pm where snacks will be provided while we watch the film and discuss the topics after the film.
