Half the Sky Film Screening

Our University Seminar class, led by Jennifer McNabb, invites you to attend a screening of the newly released documentary, Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide. The film, based upon the book by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn, “introduces women and girls who are living under some of the most difficult circumstances imaginable,” and will present the topics of gender-based violence, sex trafficking, and education issues for women in less developed countries. Please join us in Forum Room #1 on Monday, November 12th at 7:00 pm for Part One of Half the Sky. Snacks will be provided and a short discussion will follow the screening. Part Two will be shown on November 19th.
