An Omelet Breakfast Fundraiser will be held, Sunday, Feb 2, 2014 from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1507 East Lakeshore Drive. Proceeds will assist Buena Vista University students who will be traveling to New York City through BVU’s AWOL program March 23-30, 2014. The group of 12 students and 2 advisors will be spending 6 days on Staten Island working with Project Hospitality/Faith In Action. Outreach and volunteer service opportunities will include work-sites at soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and drop-in community centers where they will be preparing and serving food, painting, sort clothing, and interacting with the clients. This Alternative Spring Break of Service is funded by personal and group fundraising, along with assistance through a gift from the late Rev. Henry and Lucile Eggink. The breakfast is $6 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. Your support is essential and appreciated so much. Thank you!
