Irina longs to return to Moscow with her sisters, Olga and Masha. All three remember their childhood there as a happier time, but somehow time consumes desire while life is being lived. Anton Chekhov's examination of desire, ennui, and inertia is as relevant now as it was over 100 years ago. This version of the Chekhov play is translated by Julius West, and abridged and adapted by Bethany Larson.
